IS3C 14th Annual General Meeting

1 min read

The 14th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Internet Standards, Security and Safety Coalition (IS3C) was held on Tuesday, 16 June 2026, from 14:00 to 15:30 CEST. The meeting was chaired by Wout de Natris-van der Borght, IS3C Coordinator, who welcomed members and officially opened the session.

During the meeting, members approved the agenda and reflected on IS3C’s achievements over the past five and a half years. A major milestone highlighted was IS3C’s official recognition as a Dynamic Coalition under the United Nations Internet Governance Forum (IGF), strengthening its role within the global Internet governance ecosystem.

The AGM also celebrated the success of IS3C’s 2025 Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) Report, which received international recognition through presentations at WSIS+20, EuroDIG 2026, and a series of webinars organized in collaboration with AFNIC and the IGF Secretariat. Members noted the coalition’s strategic transition from primarily conducting research and publishing reports to actively promoting awareness, capacity building, and the implementation of Internet security standards worldwide.

Additionally, the meeting acknowledged IS3C’s new status as a working group under the Internet Society Netherlands Chapter (ISOC NL), enabling the coalition to submit grant proposals, with its first application successfully submitted in May 2026. This development marks an important step toward expanding IS3C’s sustainability and impact through collaborative projects and funding opportunities.
