IS3C announces the start of two new Working Groups.
WG5 on prioritizing and listing Internet standards and ICT best practices. The creation of this “top 40” and ICT standards repository is led by Wout de Natris. WG 6 on Data Governance is led by Louise Marie Hurel. This WG will perform a comparative study into data governance regulations and present policy recommendations at the U.N. level. On 8 September IS3C held its 6th general meeting. Topics were: a) the progress in research into IoT security by design and the skill gaps in tertiary cyber security education; b) the need for an communication and outreach strategy; c) a discussion on how DC outcomes can become IGF outcomes; d) the announcement of (potential) new working groups: data governance, consumer protection, security by design – RPKI and quantum computing and (post-)quantum encryption.
